About the Campaign

Getting Started

At the start of 2022, the Pope John Paul II High School community alerted leadership to both an immediate athletic facility need and a longtime community desire. The immediate need was for a new track as it had become a high priority need and had the potential to become a safety concern. The longtime desire was for the purchase and installation of lights on the multi-sport field to enhance our athletic and student offerings. Students, parents, PJP alumni, Legacy alumni, and many more share in the belief that lights shining at night will serve as a beacon for our school family and local community to come together and enjoy time honored traditions and create new memories.

Building Momentum

Through efforts led by our Board of Directors, PJP set out to meet both the need for a new track and fulfill the desire for lights on the multi-sport field through the Lights On, Race On campaign. The goal for this campaign is $610,000. To date, generous supporters have donated the funds that allowed us to install the track, positions the campaign for success, and brings us closer to reaching our goal of installing lights for the field.

In order to achieve both aspects of the project, Pope John Paul II High School requests the financial support of our community. By engaging our faithful donors, community stakeholders, Legacy alumni, parents, and friends, we believe that we can raise the necessary $610,000 to fund this project, invest in the safety of our students and guests, and open a new avenue for our renowned school spirit.
