Tuition & Fees

For the 2024-2025 school year, tuition will increase by $375, and the school fee will remain at the same rate as it has been for the last two school years. This tuition increase equates to a $34 monthly increase to this year's rate. As such, tuition for the 2024-2025 school year will be $10,225. The school fee for the 2024-25 school year remains at $1,850. 


In determining the tuition and school fee, it is important for families to know that we do our best to strike a balance between affordability and providing the maximum number of learning opportunities for all students. Unfortunately, like many educational institutions PJP is also faced with navigating a continuing high inflationary period.  Please know that during our deliberation we never lost sight of the financial sacrifices all our families are making to prioritize Catholic education.


The first tuition payment for the 2024-2025 school year will be due in June of 2024. For those families interested in finding out if they are eligible for financial assistance, that process starts with the submission of a FACTS application. 


PJP also uses FACTS for processing tuition and school fees. FACTS charges a $42 annual enrollment fee for its monthly payment plan and a $10 annual enrollment fee for its semi-annual payment plan. There is NO annual enrollment fee for families who make payments in full for a given school year. Additionally, families who sign up to make automatic payments each month through FACTS will receive a $120 discount to their overall tuition. This discount will be applied to the last payment of the 2024-2025 school year.

  • Tuition & school fees will be billed over 11 months from June through April. 

  • Families that make all payments via automatic deduction will receive a $120 credit at the end of the school year.

  • There is an annual fee of $42 for a monthly payment plan, $10 for a semi-annual payment plan, and no charge for payments made in full for the year.

  • Tuition monthly payments can be set for the 1st or 15th of the month.

The Office of Catholic Education has outsourced its tuition and fees system to FACTS. Once you have set up an account with you will be able to:

  • Select whether you will pay annually, quarterly, or monthly

  • Select whether your monthly payment will be done on the 1st of the month or the 15th of the month.

  • Select your preference for invoices - emailed invoices or paper invoices

  • Set up automatic payments from your bank account, credit card, etc...

Financial Aid & Scholarships

Pope John Paul II High School annually awards tuition assistance to families who show financial need through an application process. Scholarships and Financial Aid are divided into three categories:

  • Academic Scholarships

  • Financial Aid

  • Other Scholarships and Grants

This aid is directed to tuition only and does not cover fees and other expenses. 
FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment will be conducting the financial need analysis for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia/BLOCS & Pope John Paul II High School for the upcoming school year. Families applying for financial aid will need to complete an application and submit the necessary supporting documentation to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment by December 31st for early financial aid decisions!

The financial aid process for the 2024-25 school year will begin on October 1, 2023!



The application fee is $30 and must be paid in order to submit.

After completing the online application, you will need to upload all required supporting documentation. The following supporting documents are required to complete the application process:

  1. IRS Federal Income Tax Return 2020, including all supporting schedules (the year of the tax return depends on the tax requirements of your school). If the applicant and co-applicant file separately, we require both tax returns for the same tax year.

  2. Copies of all the current year W-2 Wage and Tax Statements for both the applicant and co-applicant. PLEASE NOTE: If you are applying before you have received all the current year W-2 Wage and Tax Statements, please submit them as soon as they become available.

  3. Copies of all supporting tax documents if you have business income/loss from any of the following:

    • Business - send Schedule C or C-EZ and Form 4562 Depreciation and Amortization

    • Farm - send Schedule F and Form 4562 Depreciation and Amortization

    • Rental Property - send Schedule E (page 1)

    • S-Corporation - send Schedule E (page 2), Form 1120S (5 pages), Schedule K-1 and Form 8825

    • Partnership - send Schedule E (page 2), Form 1065 (5 pages), Schedule K-1 and Form 8825

    • Estates and Trusts - send Schedule E (page 2), Form 1041, and Schedule K-1


IMPORTANT: If you file a tax return but do not have W-2 wages because you are self-employed, you will be required to submit a copy of your current year Federal Form 1040 Tax Return.

  • Copies of all supporting documentation for household Non-Taxable Income such as: Social Security Income, Welfare, Child Support, Food Stamps, Workers’ Compensation, and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).

  • If you do not file a tax return, you are required to provide documentation of all income received.


NOTE: All documentation received is imaged upon receipt and then destroyed.


You may log in to your FACTS user account to review the status of your application. Please allow 2 weeks processing time before inquiring further about receipt and/or status of the uploaded documents. Application deadlines are set by the institution awarding the aid. If you are applying after the deadline, contact your school to ensure that your application will be accepted.


A non-refundable application fee may be required before your application will be submitted.


PLEASE NOTE: Award decisions are made by the institution providing the financial aid, not FACTS.

Did You Know? 529 Plans Can Be Used!

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which was signed into law in December 2017, allows families to use your 529 plans to pay for up to $10,000 in tuition expenses at elementary or secondary public, private or parochial schools. PJP offers scholarships that are based on merit.  Merit-based scholarships are based on a rubric of scores from the 8th grade scholarship test, 7th grade final grades and evidence of community service. The scholarship test is offered each fall.
