  • Pope John Paul II High School is an accredited member of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

  • Royersford, Pennsylvania is a quiet borough located about 30 miles north of Philadelphia. Both the historic and contemporary are represented in this borough, as new businesses stand just blocks from homes built in the late 18th century. Due to its proximity to the 422 Expressway, Royersford has become a popular bedroom community for those who desire access to the city of Philadelphia but at the same time enjoy small-town living. Pope John Paul II High School draws the majority of its students from Montgomery, Chester and Bucks County.

  • Pope John Paul II is a four-year co-educational Roman Catholic High School and one of 15 secondary schools operated under the auspices of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia

    A passing grade is 70%.

  • Class Rank is determined by the WEIGHTED Quality Point Average, giving greater weight to more difficult courses in the curriculum.

  • Pope John Paul II High School uses a 4.0 GPA Scale shared by all 15 member high schools of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. GPA is calculated by considering both the grade earned and level taken of each course a student has taken. Not all courses have the opportunity to enroll at the AP or Honors level, and all courses not designated as AP or Honors are calculated at the CP (College Prep) level.

  • Honors are calculated at the close of each quarter.

    First Honors

Grade average of 93 or better with no grade below 90.

    Second Honors

Grade average of 88-92.9 with no grade below 85.

  • Over 55 Honors level courses are available in all content areas including electives.

Students must meet and maintain specific criteria to enroll in honors courses.

  • The top 30 juniors, based on the cumulative rank at the end of the 1st semester, are given an opportunity to apply for admission into the Diocesan Scholars Program.

Selection into this program provides the Diocesan Scholar an opportunity to take four college courses for college credit at a nearby Catholic college during his or her senior year.
