Our Story

Institutional Narrative

Pope John Paul II High School, known proudly as PJP, is both a young school and the heir to a rich Catholic educational tradition. Established in 2010, PJP was created through the unification of seven legacy high schools whose histories date back as far as 1866.

By bringing these communities together, PJP became a symbol of unity, resilience, and renewal. The school honors the traditions of its predecessors while forging its own path as a center of academic rigor, faith formation, artistic excellence, and athletic achievement.

Today, PJP represents the continuation of more than 150 years of Catholic education, grounded in faith and focused on forming students for lives of purpose, leadership, and service.

Public-Facing Narrative

Pope John Paul II High School, or PJP, is a young school with deep roots.

Opened in 2010, PJP carries forward the legacy of seven Catholic high schools whose combined history spans more than 150 years. What began as separate traditions now stands united as one community.

Named in honor of Pope John Paul II, PJP challenges students to grow academically, lead with character, compete with pride, and live their faith. Every graduate becomes part of a legacy that honors the past while shaping the future.

Our Brand. Our Pride.

Thank you for helping represent Pope John Paul II High School with care and consistency.
