From Our President

Dear Pope John Paul II High School Community,
To grow as a person means to continually improve and develop through self-awareness, the acquisition of new skills, and the enhancement of one’s mindset and behaviors. This process is a lifelong journey of self-discovery, leading to greater maturity, capability, and resilience.
Over the past several years, PJP has achieved remarkable growth in a variety of ways. First and foremost, our student community has expanded from 698 to more than 833 students. Projected enrollment is expected to exceed 850 for the 2026–27 school year.
Second, PJP has made significant academic strides, introducing several curriculum enhancements, including an interdisciplinary STEM program, becoming the first high school in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to establish a Business Institute using Bloomberg technology, and creating PAWS, a support system designed for students with learning differences.
Third, PJP has continued to grow spiritually, as students embrace their faith journey as part of their daily lives. This spiritual commitment was recognized when PJP received the Angel Award from the Catholic Foundation of Philadelphia, an honor that celebrates students who live their faith in partnership with their families and community.
Athletically, PJP has reached new heights of excellence across all arenas, on the fields, courts, pool, track, mats, pitch, and diamond. Now, more than ever, our students proudly wear the blue and gold.
These and many other accomplishments have been made possible because PJP has surrounded itself with excellence. It has been my great pleasure to walk among this community and to do my part to “be not afraid,” to seek the splendor of truth and to live the Gospel of life.
Wishing each of our families a blessed school year.
Go Golden Panthers!
