Dear Parents and Guardians,
Local school districts that provide transportation for our PJP students require our parents or guardians to complete a request for transportation form for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year.
If your child requires transportation by bus for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year, please fill out the appropriate school district form and have your child return it to the Student Services Office NO LATER THAN Wednesday, May 15, 2019. If mom and dad reside in separate school districts, two separate district forms need to be completed.
The Student Services Office will provide each busing school district with a list of students requiring transportation and the forms. If the forms are not returned to the Student Services Office by May 15th, then you must mail the form to the school district in which you reside by the due date listed on the form.
Students from Pottstown and Daniel Boone School Districts who utilize private transportation must complete a contract and return it to the Students Services Office by May 15, 2019. This is a new procedure. Instructions and the contract can be found below.
Please be prompt returning these forms. The lists we provide will assist the districts in creating more accurate and timely bus schedules for the next school year. The district in which you reside will contact you personally with the bus schedules a week or two before the school year begins.
DROP OFF AND PICK UP PROCEDURES
Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures
Parents who drop-off students in the morning or pick-up students in the afternoon should enter the parking lot using the main entrance. At the first intersection, turn right. Follow the road until you reach the stop sign. At the stop, turn left and drive to the front of the school building. Students can be dropped-off/picked-up at the right side of the curb in front of the school. Parents waiting for students at dismissal may line up next to the curb, but please leave enough room on your left to allow other drivers to pass.
Bus drivers will pull all the way into the bus loop during dismissal, so they do not block the entrance/exit at the top of the loop. This allows cars to enter and exit the parking lot safely. Once the buses begin to exit, they have no stop sign; therefore, the buses have the right of way. At this point, all drivers must wait until all the buses have left the loop before exiting. No one should try to merge into the line of buses. Once the buses have left the loop, drivers may once again exit there.
We appreciate your cooperation in support of our effort to maintain a safe environment for all PJP drivers, passengers and pedestrians. Thank you.
