“Do not be afraid. Do not be satisfied with mediocrity. Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”
-St. John Paul II
Hello and thank you for visiting the School Ministry portion of our website! My name is Mr. Christopher Allen and I am thrilled to serve as PJP’s Director of School Ministry! My role at PJP, as I see it, is to cultivate opportunities throughout the school year for students to have personal encounters with God.
Each year the Ministry Office selects a theme which guides our programming for the year. This year our theme is “Look to Christ who gives us the meaning of life.” This theme comes from our patron, Saint John Paul II’s visit to the United States in 1979. While in the US, he addressed high school students at Madison Square Garden in New York. While addressing those gathered, our Holy Father reminded them that together, we make up the Church and only in Christ do we find real love and the fullness of life. Therefore we should look to Christ when we wonder about the mystery of ourselves and what it means to be a mature person.
As we strive this school year to “Look to Christ,” please know that I look forward to the opportunity to walk with each of our students, faculty, and staff on their journey to do just that in the spirit of our patron, Saint John Paul II.
