Pope John Paul II High School Announces Boys' Lacrosse Coach

First time Head Coach Blase Cesarone joins the Pope John Paul II High School coaching staff for the 2017 season.  Principal Jim Meredith said, "It is evident that Blase brings a record of leadership, energy, enthusiasm, and the right experience to this position. He is well-suited to lead our lacrosse program."

Coach Cesarone brings along Assistant Coach Tyler Orff.   Both coaches played locally in high school, Daniel Boone HS and Boyertown HS, respectively.  They joined forces during their time as Griffins at Gwynedd Mercy University.  Coach Ceserone looks forward to guiding the Panthers while laying the foundation to build an outstanding lacrosse program at PJP.

“I am excited to hire our new lacrosse coach,” said PJP President Jason Bozzone, “He brings experience and a work ethic that will build a highly competitive lacrosse program.   As we continue to hire high impact coaches, I expect our athletic programs will strive to set high goals and standards. I look forward to watching PJP lacrosse playing fast, embrace a "worker's mindset", and have fun giving back to our community.  Coach Cesarone is another impact coach that joins our recent hires in wrestling and boys' tennis!  He is going to ensure that PJP’s  reputation for quality on the field and in the classroom is undeniable.  Our student-athletes are great representatives of PJP and makes me proud every time I watch them play. It's a great day to be a Golden Panther!"

Athletic Director Nicole McMullen added, “Our lacrosse players are excited to get started with the new coaching staff.  I know their enthusiasm will carry over into the season.  We hope that this will be a significant building year for the team both on and off the field.”
Welcome, Coach Cesarone and Coach Orff!
