An AOP School

Welcome from the Principal

It is my pleasure to welcome you to our website, a window that allows visitors to explore all of the opportunities that Pope John Paul II High School offers to its students. This window is a mere glimpse of the PJP Experience. Walking through our doors as a member of the Pope John Paul II Family immerses one in the full experience.

Our faculty, staff, and students fully live our shared school vision that, “In a God-centered environment, we strive to cultivate the intrinsic talents of each individual, prompt each to become a lifelong learner who possesses the spiritual, personal, and intellectual skills necessary to navigate their life’s challenges.”

To live this vision, our students perform Christian Service integrated into curriculum, encounter Jesus Christ through Word and Sacraments, and participate in retreats for the student body, including Kairos, a retreat off-campus for the senior class. Cultivating a personal relationship with God is a gift that our students carry with them, even when they go beyond our doors.

To live this vision, our students embark on a rich academic program tailored for them to make full use of their God-given abilities and talents. A diverse curriculum is delivered by our talented and caring faculty and staff who use a student-centered approach to meet students where they are and guide them to make the best decisions for their future path. For nearly 100% of our students, our college preparatory program makes college the next step on life’s journey.

To live this vision, our students participate in a diverse extra-curricular program that offers students the opportunity to grow and to excel in all things. Our students are talented artists and athletes, musicians and performers, coached and mentored by adults driven to ensure their success. After many hours on the field or on the stage, our Golden Panthers not only hone their creative and athletic talents, they form lifelong relationships.

Our state of the art facility is home to where the vision becomes the reality. We invite you to come join our PJP Family and in the words of Saint John Paul II,” Be not afraid to seek the splendor of truth and to live the gospel of life.” If you have any questions about who we are and how can become a part of our PJP Family, please feel free to contact me at jmeredith@pjphs.org. May God bless you and your family.

With gratitude,

James D. Meredith
