Room Specific
Classrooms
Every classroom will have an interactive smart board and ceiling mounted projector. This interactive capability allows a teacher to display any visual or audio material from the Teacher's PC. In addition, there is a ceiling LCD projector which provides the ability of broadcasting local cable and interschool broadcasts. Teachers will have laptops and mobile laptop carts equipped with student laptops will be available to all classrooms.
Distance Learning Rooms
Dedicated Distance Learning Rooms allow teacher and student distance learning via high-tech, state-of-the-art equipment and connections. Additionally, there is a distance learning system in the Library Computer Resources Room.
With these connections, teachers' communications are amplified throughout the classroom from the clip-on wireless microphone while simultaneously capturing the video with a strategically placed camera. All audio and video activities are automatically synchronized so that the broadcasting of the teaching activities performs in a seamless manner to all viewers.
Classroom interaction by the students is captured by independent strategically placed cameras and microphones which provide the audio and video of the class's interaction. This functionality is also synchronized and is split screen so the remote viewing displays both the Teacher and Class interacting in one seamless broadcast.
All classroom activities can be broadcasted in real-time or can be prerecorded and delivered to all classrooms over the school's dedicated private network. In addition, the system can receive any broadcasts from any remote distance learning equipped classroom via network or broadband connection.
